Jojo Wang is a Shanghai-based artist working across painting, visual narratives, and books.
She holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been exhibited in the United States and China. She has received recognition from the 3x3 International Illustration Awards and the Applied Arts Photography & Illustration Awards.
Her practice explores the continual rewriting of personal history through rupture and reconstruction. She creates symbolic narratives that trace the uncertainty, tension, and instability of change, examining how the self is remembered, questioned, and reformed.
