A trip back to where one’s from, a journey to discover the long-forgotten spiritual belief…
Inspired by the author’s experience of returning to her homeland, RISE is a series of illustrations about a young girl finding back what was important to her and the people in her hometown.
In the story, the protagonist returns to where she's from, and is confronted with this unexpected blue haze that frustrates everyone. Almost like a pilgrimage, she climbs uphill, finds the uncared-for ancient statue covered in dust, and cleans it up to release everyone from the blue dust haze.
